           FAQ's

How long have you been in business?

The company was established in 1999.

Do you carry insurance?

Yes. We carry General Liability insurance. We include a copy of our coverage in our estimate package.

Are you a registered business?

Yes. Our business & tradename is officially registered with the state of NH, and is on file with the Secretary of State in Concord, NH. (Our NH Business Reg. No. is 589620)

Are you licensed?

There has never been a requirement for licensing in NH for residential or commercial roofing. Don't be fooled by fraudulent licenses. If someone claims to be a "licensed" roofer – be very wary and find out if they are referring to a plumber’s license, drivers license, hunting license, or what! None of these will help insure you are getting a qualified roofing contractor. There are ways to determine if you are dealing with a qualified roofing contractor in NH, such as the BBB, references and certifications, but a license is not one of them.

Do a few leaks mean I need an entire new roof?

A few leaks may indicate a need for a new roof, but not always. Call us to schedule an estimate with a Credentialed Shingle Master for an honest and thorough analysis of your situation.

When you start my roof, do you stay with it until completion?

Yes. Once we start a project, we will continue working on it until the project is completed based on the work specifications. (Sometimes weather may delay the start or finish date of a project.)

Do you require a contract?

Yes. A contract needs to be signed before any work can be scheduled and also before any materials are ordered.

When are payments due?

Each project size is different. For most projects, we require a deposit before we start the job. Another payment would be due when the job is half completed. Final payment would be due when the entire project is completed.

When can you start on my roof?

Every project is scheduled on a first come-first served basis. When the contract is signed and your deposit is received, the project is added to our work list. At that time, you'll will be given a time frame from start to finish. The time of year and the weather will have to be taken into consideration as well.

What happens if it rains or snows while installing my roof?

We roof all year round, but to ensure quality service Lakes Region Roofing watches the weather very closely. We will never tear off a roof with a chance of precipitation in the forecast, sometimes this may delay the start of a roofing project. But when we leave at night, your roof will be watertight.

Do you protect the property from damage?

Yes. We use tarps to protect the property, including shrubbery and flower beds when removing any roofing shingles or rotten wood.

When you leave for the day, do you clean up any mess?

Yes. We clean the project site at the end of each day. Including running a magnet over the lawn & driveway to pick up any stray nails.

Does someone in my household need to be present as work is being done on my roof?

No. This is the clients preference. We do, however, request that the homeowner be available by phone should we have any questions for them.
